Absolutely lovely bakery with a large selection of goods and all things yummy. The traditional pasty’s are lovely and carrot cake is lush. Sadly a big seagull ripped the pasty out of one of the groups hand and flew off with it - the owner kindly replaced it free of charge - thank you so much for that - brilliant customer service and a very naughty seagull x

Thank you shaldon bakery newton abbot for making my dad's father's day special, I rang on Thursday and spoke to a lovely lady to see if they did tracle tart and the lady said they could make one so I ordered a tracle tart along with a small pot of clotted cream for my dad as a father's day gift. It's my dad's favourite and not many bakery's or places sell tracle tart, my dad was very pleased with my gift and said the tracle tart was really nice and tasty and that he will be looking forward to another tracle tart from shaldon bakery, also thank you to the assistant that seviced me on saturday morning when I collected the tracle tart she was as polite as the lady I spoke to on the phone. It is lovely to go somewhere and get nice service and helpful staff. I will be recommending shaldon bakery to friends and family.- Service

Easily best bakery in town / anywhere to be honest 🤣 Get their sourdough every week along with a few pastries for morning walks. Brilliant selection, like to try something new along with the firm favourites of Nutella rolls and Chelsea buns, they’re so massive my husband and I always share when we get home with a coffee ☺️

A lovely bakery with excellent buns. Also, the lady was a font of local knowledge about places to visit and tasty eateries. Couldn't recommend more highly.
Wow. Fantastic bakery. Personally recommend the Pork and Stilton pies as well as the fresh scones. Utterly amazing! The scones are so light & fluffy. Incredibly moreish. The pie was rammed with filling and flavour. Wish I'd bought more! Will definitely go back next time in the South West

Absolutely amazing bakery! They have a really wide range of of vegan/ vegetarian options alongside those for carnivores :) I had a vegan 'sausage' roll and vegan peanut brownie which was incredible. I have not come across another bakery that offers the vegan/ veggie options that this bakery does! Also the best customer service- really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommend!!! :)

The Brie and Red Onion Sandwich is absolutely divine and I 100% recommend this to anyone. Packed so full of brie that I didn't need to eat for a week afterwards. The rocky road dessert I opted for was just pure gluttony on my side of things, but it is also to die for! Friendly customer service. What a lovely luncheon experience, thanks very much !

Worth the walk to the best bakery in the area. I have no idea how they make money selling enormous cakes at the price. They don’t cut corners on quality. Have a look at the eccles or the Chelsea buns. They have a few vegan pasties now and these are great too.

I would highly recommend the Chelsea bun, sausage rolls and slaw. Far better than the main chains and no more expensive.

After a 3hr 45min drive from North London what a find, beautiful coffee and the size of the Chelsea and Belgium buns were out of this world. Top quality bakery 110% tasty ❤💙💜

I personally haven't been to this shop but my son bought some Eccles cakes ( dead fly cakes) I've never seen a a cake so big but more importantly the taste was out of this world, really tasty.

First time i have visited this shop but will go again. I bought 2 large eccles cakes and a lardy cake. They are gorgeous. Its worth a walk out of the main streets to visit here.
